3D printing technologies in their full range

Nine manufacturing technologies, one point of contact: FGF, FDM, SLS, SLA, MJP and more under one roof. Whether large-format parts, functional prototypes, robust end-use applications or high-precision detailed structures – the part determines the technology and the material. With all additive manufacturing processes in house, we choose the right solution for every application.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about our technologies

A quick overview: FGF for large formats and robust production equipment, FDM for cost-effective functional parts, SLS for sturdy series parts without support structures, SLA for smooth surfaces and fine details, MJP for the highest precision. We have all technologies in house and give technology-neutral advice – what counts is what is best for your part.

FGF (Fused Granulate Fabrication) prints directly from plastic pellets instead of filament – which makes it significantly more cost-effective for large parts. At adddix, we print with FGF up to 2,400 × 1,600 × 2,000 mm. Typical applications: large prototypes, jigs, production equipment and trade show models.

FDM melts plastic filament and builds the part layer by layer through a nozzle – cost-effective and with a wide choice of materials. SLS fuses plastic powder with a laser – without support structures, producing very sturdy parts that bear loads almost equally in every direction (e.g. made of PA12). Ideal for complex geometries and series production.

As a guideline, we manufacture to tolerances of ±0.3 % (minimum ±0.3 mm), based on DIN 16742. Significantly tighter tolerances are possible depending on the technology – the most precise is MultiJet Printing (MJP). If your part has been CNC machined so far, our comparison Machined plastic part or 3D printed? will help you decide.

MJP is our most precise technology: finest details, smooth surfaces and very tight tolerances. Ideal for investment casting patterns, appearance parts and intricate components. For specific tolerance requirements, contact us directly.
