Materials expertise

The right material determines function, appearance and cost efficiency.

A part is only as good as the combination of technology, material and process parameters. That's why we look at every project from both a technical and an economic perspective: What loads act on the part? What surface finish is required? What quantity is planned? And what lead time is realistic?

  • Material selection to suit technology, geometry and application
  • Engineering plastics for prototypes, fixtures and series parts
  • High-performance polymers and reinforced materials for demanding applications
  • Advice on costs, surface finish, temperature resistance and post-processing

From industrial pellets to high-performance resin.

We find the right material for every application and create individual solutions for your requirements – from rapid prototypes to durable series parts.

Pellets for FGF printing Pellets

Pellets for FGF printing

PETG · PA · ASA · PP · ABS · PLA – also GF-reinforced

The same material the injection molding industry uses – just for large-format 3D printing. Lower costs, excellent mechanical properties, a broad material selection and high material throughput make pellets particularly attractive for large parts, tools, molds and fixtures.

  • Large format
  • Low cost per kg
  • High material throughput
  • GF/CF-reinforced
  • Industry standard
  • Recycled materials
Polymer powder for SLS Powder

Polymer powder for SLS

PA12 · PA11 · TPU

Ultra-fine particles that the laser sinters layer by layer – ideal for durable functional parts with complex geometry – the powder bed supports the part, so no support structures are needed. Particularly suitable for series production, snap-fits, housings, technical components and flexible TPU applications.

  • Durable
  • Isotropic
  • Suitable for series production
  • No support structures
Thermoplastics on spools for FDM Filament

Thermoplastics on spools for FDM

PLA · ABS · PETG · PA · PP · TPU · Onyx · GreenTEC Pro · fiber-reinforced variants

The all-rounder of 3D printing. Quickly available, a huge range of materials, from cost-optimized to high-strength – and ideal for express prototypes, assembly aids, fixtures, test parts and simple functional samples.

  • Express by arrangement
  • Huge selection
  • Budget-friendly
  • Fixtures
Bottles of resin for SLA printing in the adddix material store Resin

Photopolymers for SLA & MJP

Standard · Clear · Tough · ESD · Rigid

Liquid resin, cured by UV light. Delivers the highest level of detail accuracy and silky-smooth surfaces – from optically transparent parts to heat-resistant fine parts. Ideal for design samples, presentation models, fine parts and applications with demanding surface requirements.

  • High detail
  • Smooth surface
  • Transparent
  • Static-dissipative
Quality & material know-how

Material, process and post-processing have to work together.

Good parts don't happen by chance. We coordinate material, process parameters, production and post-processing – for reproducible, functional parts.

  • Review of geometry and material requirements
  • Process parameters suited to the technology and material
  • Controlled production and material storage
  • Post-processing such as bead blasting, dyeing, smoothing or finishing
  • Documentation and part photos on request

Quality management in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015

Quality inspection and material control in the additive manufacturing process ISO 9001:2015 certified (DIMS)
The application decides

Not every material suits every part.

Temperature, load, chemical resistance, dimensional accuracy, surface finish and cost must be considered together. That's why we start with the application and use it to select the right combination of material and technology.

  • For large parts: cost-efficient pellets with FGF
  • For functional parts: PA12, PA11 or TPU with SLS
  • For quick samples: FDM materials such as PLA, PETG, ABS or PA
  • For fine surfaces: resin materials for SLA and MJP

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about materials

Over 100 materials in stock – from standard plastics to high-performance polymers, as pellets, filament, powder and resin. Your preferred material isn't among them? No problem: we source it for your project.

SLS-printed PA12 is one of the strongest options in plastic 3D printing: high strength with nearly direction-independent load capacity. However, the best choice depends on temperature, load direction and operating environment – we will advise you personally and find the right material for your project.

Yes. We regularly keep flame-retardant materials as well as materials approved for food contact in stock. Tell us your requirement (e.g., the fire safety standard to be met) – and we will name the suitable options.

They are not part of our stock range and are sourced for each project. Tell us the application and the required standard, and we will check availability and processing.

Yes – simply select “Request material samples” and the materials you want in our contact form. We will send you the samples.
